Addie’s Thai Cafe
Scores: H 2
Addies Thai is a somewhere that I eat fairly regularly, either from sitting in or ordering a takeaway (limited menu). It is very popular so you need to book most nights if you want to dine there before 21.30 or order before 6.30 on weekends if you don’t want to wait 1 ½ hours for a delivery to arrive.
Most of the dishes here are very good although I prefer a lot of the other dishes over the curries. On this occasion we were eating in and the stir fried chicken with basil leaves (£6.50) was particularly good with a perfect blend of sweet, sour, salt and spicy.
One of the best dishes (not available to go) is the steamed lemon sea bass (£13.95), which is a whole fish served with a broth flavoured with lemongrass, herbs, lemon and plenty of chili. This was perfectly cooked and the broth was very tasty and quite hot.
This is a very good meal for the price in west London.
