From my previous visits I have found the Cinnamon Kitchen to be the best of this restaurant family, I was not fussed on the Cinnamon Club the last time I went there (too European style food) and Cinnamon Soho was pretty good but not nearly as good as Roti Chai.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, I found that the food was not up to its usual high standards. A kebab platter contained some nice lamb, the fish tikka was slightly overdone and the chicken was okay but far from the best I have had recently. Some aubergine that came on the platter was also just okay.
A main of Tandoori halibut with Bengali ‘dopiaza’ sauce, steamed rice (£25.00) had gone slightly cold by the time it arrived- the flavours here were not bad but this pales when compared with what restaurants such as Quilon produce. This was okay but certainly not great and it was also quite expensive.
