RyuGin (Tokyo)

Scores: 3 M*

RyuGin is a modern kaiseki restaurant that now has a branch in HK as well as in this orginal one in Roppongi. The food here was superb from start to finish (excluding the milt which was ‘fine’- as good as it can be for my palate). The food was slightly more inventive than Kitcho in Kyoto but still relied on great ingredients and subtle but effective flavour combinations.

Top class!
