Restaurants I have previously visited and favourites

Favourites:

My favourite restaurants are ones in which I am likely to try to go to as much as I can, some of these are still more ‘special occasion places’.  They may not all necessarily have the best food but it will be good and/ or they also have other features that I like.  There is also a slight ‘home bias’ to the list- I tend not to eat regularly in East London.

• Addies Thai (decent Thai food at a good price- love the steamed sea bass)
• Amaya (one of the best overall Indian’s in London- good for large groups and sharing)
• Kitchen W8 (or Medlar– great local fine dining, relatively not that expensive)
• Hakkasan Mayfair (actually prefer Kai at that price point for food; however, Hak is fun for large groups)
• The Ledbury (maybe my favourite restaurant in London)
• Min Jiang (love the Dim Sum, good in the evenings as well)
• Roti Chai (great affordable Indian food- both upstairs and down)
• Zuma (love the cooked food, sushi is decent- prefer the atmosphere in Roka though)

Here I have listed some of the restaurants I have been to in the past in order to give a sense of what I am comparing my reviewed restaurants to.  Some of these I will have been to once, while a few of the London ones I will have been 20+ times.  This is by no means a complete list of restaurants I have been to; in fact at looking over it I realise I have forgotten at least an entire country, never mind loads of London places!   I have also included the number of Michelin stars a restaurant may have, this is simply because it is the rating system that exists across many of the places that I have been- not necessarily because I think it is the best system.
